The College

In its remarkable history of nurturing educational institutions, the SVKM trust has in last couple of years paved a new path by establishing professional and higher education institutes.
S. V. Institute of Computer Studies imparting MCA program under the auspice of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) in unique in its own kind and takes credit of being the only one in Gujarat that has contributed towards making the opportunity of studying in higher education available to the unexplored semi-urban area of North Gujarat.

The MCA Program is being offered in a sophisticated and well equipped building. The climate of the institute fosters the students The facilities provided assist students to make one's way in Technology world. Despite operating in an affiliating university system we are not restricting out selves within the perimeters of university curriculum. We endeavor to reach out beyond in scope and depth-in our curriculum coverage to enable our graduates to face the world of work with competence and confidence. Young and energetic faculties appreciably work hard and put in their best efforts. They also have gallops of opportunities for further training and development wherever and wherever necessary by virtue of research initiatives and faculty training programs at and off the campus.

Class Rooms

In order to uphill the entire prolific minds, it is necessary to form a unique culture where all of them can share their thoughts and strive together to attain the hankered goals. The institute provides them a perfect environment needed to accomplish the same.

he institution has an exquisitely designed 4 theaters with well-furnished desks and comfortable chairs. They are well equipped with Computer and Multimedia Projector as well as Overhead Projector for fruitful presentations and better students’ interaction.

Computer Labs

In the world of dynamic technology, no one remains untouched by the dominance of computers. It is the endeavor of institute to provide full-time computer facility to the students so that they can cope with the vibrant trends of IT industry. The institute has setup of 120 computers distributed into three computer labs. All these computers are networked through network cables and other connecting equipments. Network services are offered through three servers with high-capacity hardware infrastructure.

All 170 computers for students contain Quad Core and Core 2 Duo processors, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard disks to store data locally. 3 IBM High End Servers for data storage, database server and internet security server. LABs are given Multimedia Projectors, Sound systems and other presentation and network demonstration software and tools to make interactive practical learning environment for students.

Seminar Hall

One of the architectural delights of the institute is its Seminar Hall. It has a sitting capacity of 200 and is well equipped with Presentation Tools, Sound Systems, Audio and Video recording systems, Stage & Dias etc. Basic intension behind building and maintaining Seminar Hall is to provide stage to the students during their study. Here they get chance to represent themselves which is need of the field towards which they are progressing.

Institute uses Seminar Hall to arrange Expert Lectures, Paper Presentation and Conferences, In-house Techno-Cultural Events, Expert’s Meetings, Inter-college interactive meetings etc. Students are free to access hall and related resources to arrange inter-class competitions, CSI activities, discussion sessions, internal project submission and project presentations practice etc.

Library

Library is said to be "Knowledge Hub" of any academic institute. Adapting this in its true spirit, the institute offers students an array of the richest central library facility. Institute has central library functioning from morning 9 till evening 6. It is well equipped with management software to offer easy access to information and other book related queries of students.

There are more than 5000 book titles from well known national and international publications covering wide range of issues in the field of computer and information technology. Library offers daily news papers and rich collection of more than 15 fortnightly and monthly national and international magazines and journals. Library also has wide collection of Informative CDs and DVDs for students’ access.

Meeting Room

Institute offers Meeting room equipped with Presentation tools and offers conditioned environment, where Institutional staff and students can arrange meetings and discussions.

Canteen

College has a cafeteria for the refreshment of students. It offers light snacks and heavy meal options to students. Menu includes afternoon meal and snacks include fresh Samosas, Batata Pauva, Kachoris and Puffs etc… Also varieties of wafers, cold drinks, ice creams etc to have refreshment during breaks and college ends.
